So I got some stuff on Saturday

This last Saturday I just went to A-1 Comics and GameStop and got two items. Normally, most people would consider this normal, but not me. My only chance to go to places where stuff can be bought are the weekly grocery trips (which I don't attend) and the occasional bimonthly trip to Target. A-1 Comics I NEVER get to go to because it's like a super long ride from my house to there. I'm not sure why we don't go to GameStop often. Usually I don't buy stuff at either place, because a) there's nothing I want (this only happens at GS, because A1 always has an amazing selection of awesome stuff) or b) everything costs too much. But I still had some birthday money left over from buying the Famicom that I never spent this time, so I was barely able to get a copy of CoD MW2 CIB (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 collective in box [not new and sealed, but the manuals, disc, case, etc. are included]). I normally have no interest in shooter games, especially post-1986 ones, but my friends were insisting that I get this one. At A1 I got a new Gundam model. That would be my 3rd. Pictures below.

The 3 Gundams I have so far.
I often stack them so they're easier to store.
This is what the new one looks like built.

This is what happened when I took a picture of the box with my 3DS set to Low Light.
A lot of the stuff appears to be taken from the Sgt. Frog anime (my all-time favorite!).

This is not unlikely, Gundam is referenced in just about every episode.
I also staged a boxing fight since all 3 have been built. Mr. 7 Swords is
refereeing because he is as fragile as heck and wouldn't last a second
as a contender.

Ding ding ding! "Endless Waltz wins!" Probably from the enormous
size advantage (EW is on a 1/100 scale, the other two are 1/144).
Yeah... with summer here, I might have too much time on my hands.

My New Famicom (Family Computer)

My new game system, the Nintendo Famicom!

Awesome controllers! Notice that #II has a microphone and a speaker.

NES-FC controller comparison. (For those not in the know, the NES is the American version of the Japanese Famicom.)

For now it just sits on the NES.

FC-NES cartridge comparison. Notice the ridiculous size difference. "I hate it when I buy a plastic container of air and a NES game is inside."

So I just bought a Nintendo Famicom from Japan with my birthday money. About time it came, it took like 20 days to get here after it shipped. Unfortunately, I can't play it, as the 3 games I have for it don't seem to be working. I know that the games, not the system, are broken because a) The FC was listed as 'tested & working' when I bought it, b) the games were not, and c) the way it glitches out differs between games. One actually works, it's just that it has messed-up visuals and the game's sound turns off once the game starts. One game shows a recognizable title screen and is messed-up weirdness beyond that. The last game is just fuzzy. I'll have to pick up some namcot games (probably Dig Dug or Mappy, as those are personal favorites and are FC-only games [meaning they never got imported to the US]). Read more here. (I linked to the Japanese page because if you look up 'Famicom' on English Wikipedia, it redirects to the NES' page; like I said before, the Family Computer and Nintendo Entertainment System are basically the same system for different regions.)
